HELImetrex - Approved Area for the Operation of Unmanned Aircraft

Following on from successful UAV flight demonstrations at HELImetrex property in October 2006, HELImetrex has secured an enduring airspace approval for the operation of small UAVs.

HELImetrex ‘Approval of Area for the Operation of Unmanned Aircraft’ allows for (non-segregated) small UAV operations in Class G airspace from surface to 3000ft AMSL within a 2nm circle centred at HELImetrex property near Esk in Qld.

The approved area is available from HELImetrex on a hire/lease basis and is suitable for small fixed-wing or rotary UAVs for research activities, personnel training and demonstration purposes.
HELImetrex will provide the regulatory guidance and necessary flight operations support and can also assist with ACMA and CASA approvals where required.
HELImetrex can further provide accommodation, catering, dry storage, power, water, and other on-site support if required.
